His Will is to Supply

Scripture: 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (KJV)

God does not look for us to be dependent on our own abilities. He is our source. This is why we have times of lack so we can discover that He is Jehovah Jireh our provider. He is our empowerment. He supplies according to the need and our mindset. God draws us into provision. If we can be faithful over the small things, He will make us ruler over many things. He gives us power to get wealth. His word declares in the 23 Psalm that He is our shepherd and we shall not want. God wants to bless us to be a blessing. He wants us to look to the hills from whence comes our help. For He is a present help in our time of need. He wants us to acknowledge Him in all of our ways. It is His will to open and close doors. It is His will to perfect those things that concern us. It is His will to be first in our lives.

He does not want to be an afterthought. He wants to be the first thought. He is the solution. He is jealous and wants us to lean and depend on Him. He gets pleasure from helping His children and building our trust in Him. He does not operate fast and reckless as if we would. He takes pride in what He does because He perfects. His provision has exponential reward. God leads us in the path of righteousness, restores our souls, orders our steps, lights our path, and strategically places us exactly where we need to be on time. God ordered steps result in God orders goals. God is all wise and every step we take in God and for God has purpose. There is purpose in the wait. There is purpose in the pain. There is purpose in the rejection. If we never mourn, we will never know that He is a comforter. If we are never sick, we would never know that He is a healer. We must comprehend that every provision is not logical.

God does not have to nor does He usually provide within the realms of our human reasoning or our place of familiarity and comfort. God will bring deliverance in a place where we least expect. He will take the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. He will take the weak things to confound the mighty. We will never be able to out think God. He knows every thought before it even reaches our minds. The very thing that we reject is most times the answer that He sends. We often mistake our thoughts to be the same as God’s and make foolish assumptions as if He would move as we would. God knows the thoughts and plans He has for us and His ways and thoughts are not like ours. He knows the shape and weigh of every snow flake or raindrop in a cloud. How can our finite and feeble minds compare to that?

God used a staff in the hand of Moses to confound Pharaoh because it turned unto a serpent and ate the serpents of the magicians. God had Moses to raise the rod and God parted the Red Sea. God had a group to march around a wall 7 times and shout on the 7th time and the wall of Jericho fell. These things are not logical nor common. God will create things and instructions that will raise our level of faith and reduce our carnal mentality. Many do not obey the truth because they are too busy trying to reason it according to their sinful mindset. This is why our minds must be renewed daily in the Word of God to receive spiritual revelation. Praise will cause your enemies to turn on each other like it happened for Jehosophat and the king was able to collect all of his enemies’ goods. God does provide.

We have to move beyond just believing that He exists. We have to learn to trust Him beyond our comprehension and tap into who He truly is. We have to build a level of expectation beyond this world and what we can see. We have to have authentic anticipation but not anxiety. We have to be confident and deny ourselves. He is the Great I AM. He is Alpha and Omega. He is the light that removes darkness. He shall perform whatever He has spoken and it shall come to pass. It will show up on His watch and not ours but it will surely come.
