It is Time to Walk in the Spirit
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:12 - 16
God did not make us wimps. He did not make us to succumb to the activities of this world. He made us to be the standard and not to compromise. We try too hard to make friends and do not try hard enough to obey God. We live too much like the devil and want to look like we know God. He did not make us to conform to the world but to usher heaven in the earth. The righteous are bold as lions and it’s time to stop laying down on the job. It’s time to stop playing church. It’s time to stop being religious. They that worship Him must do it in spirit and in truth. A carnal mind is hostile towards God and will never find a place of agreement.
A mind that is not renewed will find death. We as a people cannot continue to hide from responsibility as Christians, joint heirs with Christ Jesus. We cannot continue with church as usual. We have untapped power that has not been released in this earth. God is waiting on us. Romans 8:19 even tells us that the earnest expectation of the creature wait for the manifestation of the sons of God. We are behind the time. We are slow in the Lord’s business. We cannot continue to look for wealth and possess no power.
We cannot continue to pray and have no authority. We can’t continue to have faith and not walk in it. We can’t continue to ask God to come down for we need to go up. We need to grow up. We need to mount up. We can’t continue to stand crooked. It’s time to get the humps out of our backs and stop bending over. We hesitate to bow to the Lord but we lay on the floor for Satan. How can we say we love God? He has given us His Spirit and we still deny Him.
It is time out for reasoning among ourselves because of little faith. Our lips honor Jesus but our minds reason Him away and our hearts do not know Him. Our words are spirit and they are life and we should set the order of heaven right here in earth. Whatsoever you bind, Whatsoever you loose. We have the keys but no victory. Why? We fail to identify with the maker. We fail to know the truth. Ever learning but never coming into the knowledge of the truth. We deny the power of God in our words, in our actions, in our relationships, on the job, in our household, in the church, the light is not shining. How can we say we love Him whom we do not honor? When God says move we are still, when God says get up we sit down, when God says go right we go left.
How can two walk together if they are not agreed? We look but we don’t live because decisions are based on what we see even though we walk by faith and not by sight. Living without Christ is in vain. The Holy Ghost knows the mind of God. He knows the deep things of the Spirit. He is the instructor. How can we judge that which we do not understand? How can we trust a god whom we do not fear? Wisdom cannot come without fear of the Lord. We cannot always go to God wanting.
At some point, obedience must matter, appreciation and reverence must be in the forefront. Love Him because of who He is. I know we have relationships that are conditional: what can you do for me? We get caught up in what a person has and not who they are. With God this should not be so. I ask you today: where are you in your walk?
