It Came With Purpose
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
Verse: For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end.
God wants to prosper us in all areas. He has the wisdom to know that in order for us to prosper effectively and morally, He has to perfect us from the inside and the change will show up on the outside. God foreknew us. He knew our hearts and decisions for life before He placed us in our mother’s womb. He knew every trial that we would face before He gave us life to be in this world. Many of us would not have survived many situations, but because He was with us and knew what was planned, He put certain restrictions in place that was in our favor.
Our personality, knowledge of history, knowledge of things, creativity, talents, mannerisms, humor, and other abilities are not random but are given according to purpose. He made us according to the path and anointing attached to our purpose. All of us are important, but many have greater responsibilities which are attached to greater pain and persecution. God builds our curiosity for who we are through the things that we face. Our passion leads us to our purpose. Many do not understand that what we hate the most is what we are called to correct. For example, racism and bigotry. Martin Luther King, Jr. was called to lead civil rights because his passion was to stop injustice.
We can exhibit the most power in the area that has caused us the most pain. Pain is a catalyst to produce passion and power. It causes us to dig into a place that we did not know existed. God knows what we need to get to a certain place. His plan is always for success and not failure because He does not fail. It may be hard at times, but God knows these things must come to pass in order for us to reach the next level of blessings, purpose, anointing, etc. It is always for the making and not the destruction. We have to be broken from who we think we are and molded in to who we are made to be. The mold of the world has to be shattered from our minds and a renewal of the Spirit must arise.
We experience seasons of displacement where we just do not seem to fit. We have the ability to move forward but have nowhere to move. We have the charisma to attract resources and yet the connections are not forming. It is a time of transition. When things are not working in our favor naturally, it is a humbling experience to realize that it is not by our own abilities that we will possess the promises of God. This is why the bible informs us that God has an appointed time for the seasons and manifestations in our lives. God also allows these times so we can depend on Him and not become consumed with depending on man or worrying about the opinions of man. God allows is to be displaced so that it can eliminate the clashing of wills, man versus God. We have to learn to obey and accept the perfect will of God in our lives and stop trying to live by the comfort of life. Life will not always be comfortable because we wrestle with evil daily.
God breaks us in order to bless us. He stretches us in order to strengthen us. Things may be delayed but as long as we have faith and continue in faith we are not denied. Delay is a test of trust and overtime brings a better win in the end. Going through the trials and tests builds our stamina. We tend to be so focused on getting out and not paying attention to the journey. The journey is the lesson while the destination is always the prize. All of the times of our lives have purpose. We tend to complain out of selfishness and impatience.
The mate did not stay because they were a lesson on forgiveness. You lost the job because it was a lesson to teach commitment. The child died to teach mercy. The car broke down to teach humility. Sometimes things break because the angel has not opened the next door. These are just examples of what could be working in our favor even though the lesson or reason could be a different outcome, but every trial is a method to get us closer to God to increase intimacy.
Many people will not get in the place they are called to until something happens that pushes them to get in order. Sometimes we have to be in a certain place to meet certain people or receive certain things like information or manifestation. Some situations force us into a place of anointing to get the yokes destroyed in our lives.
Many times we want to avoid failure. Failure is an asset to tame arrogance. Failure reveals weakness, but our weakness draws God’s strength. Our success is in the strength of God. Mistakes are the stepping stones that lift us up. Mistakes cause us to find the right path when we learn from them. Success will always come through difficulty. Failure does not define who we are and it does not dictate destiny. God uses all things in our lives to work for good in the end. Setbacks become setups.
Trials are training. Loss becomes gains. Our life is a fulltime lesson. We obtain wisdom, master offense, learn to speak maturely in the spirit, become God-conscious, become deep rooted in the fear of the Lord, and learn to submit our ways unto God.
God is sovereign and does not have to comply with anyone or seek the counsel of anyone. He is all seeing and all knowing. He knows the end from the beginning. We have to trust Him. There are no surprises to God. He knows every step of the enemy and strategically navigates us through the maze of attacks and tests. We have to learn to trust Him especially when life does not make sense.
If we begin to consider that every laugh, smile, contact, phone call, gesture, joke, disappointment, act of kindness, etc, has been predetermined and then we can understand that all things have purpose. When God is breaking the fallow ground, we will experience rejection, abandonment, low self-esteem, feelings of condemnation, envy, anger, and strife. We may have to go through divorce, rape, abuse physically or verbally or even emotionally, shame, or sickness. There are limitless things that we face as a people. These things are methods for cleansing and stripping. We have to be delivered before we can be healed. There is a process that brings us into perfection.
God perfects those things that concerns us. He tries our faith by fire that it might be found unto praise and honor and glory to God. God works in us to perfect us, establish us, strengthen us, and settle us. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers us out of them all.
